Use this form to add the names of the volunteers from your organization. Submit once per person.
This can be done in several iterations as you collect names.

Car Show Volunteer Names (#22)

Description of what volunteers might need to do

  • day before the show: set up stakes, ropes, parking signs, other signs, stage
  • Set up mini putt and other games
  • Direct visitor cars to the proper area
  • Manage car parking in the car park area
  • Direct traffic as needed
  • Direct Show Cars to the proper entrance
  • Must like dogs!
  • Be respectful to owners
  • Take donations
  • Be respectful and have fun!
  • Point out interesting activities at the show
  • Answer questions
  • Collect entrance fees
  • Make change as needed
  • Manage the placement of show cars
  • Direct traffic
  • Photograph each car as it arrives
  • Must be vigilant
  • Onsite from 8am to noon
  • Download photos to ‘Slide Show’ person
  • Photograph trophy presentations at end of show
  • Check in volunteers (a list of pre-registered volunteers will be available)
  • Record time of arrival
  • Ensure organization name, volunteer name and phone number is recorded for ‘walk-ins’
  • Direct volunteer to person responsible for the activity they are assigned to
  • Sign out volunteer when leaving and record time of departure
  • Walks the grounds selling tickets
  • Able to cajole people into buying tickets
  • Works in a team of 2, 1 for the tickets, 1 for collecting money and giving change.

  • Manage the games (mini-putt, kids train, …)
  • Take orders
  • Take money and make change
  • Operate the Square terminal (credit card machine)
  • Assemble orders
  • Deliver orders to customers at the the window.
  • Make and serve coffee

Verona Lions volunteers will do the cooking.

  • Safely operate a BBQ
  • Cook and serve sausages and hot dogs
  • Keep area clean
  • Refill condiments as needed
  • Receive recycling in the recycling area
  • Sort into appropriate containers
  • Periodically collect trash from the grounds
  • Setup tables etc
  • Keep prizes in order
  • Ensure prizes go to the right winner
  • Experienced car judges needed
  • Download photos from cameras onto a computer
  • Place appropriate photos into the proper place in a powerpoint presentation
  • Operate the computer during the slide show and presentations
  • Must test downloading of photos and inserting into the powerpoint presentation prior to the event
  • Remove and store all signs, rope, stage, kid games etc.
  • Clean up as needed
  • Anything can go here
